Jada initially disclosed her separation from the "Men in Black" actor on October 11. When asked about the delay in making their relationship status public, she explained to Today's Hoda Kotb, "I believe it's because we simply weren't ready at the time. We were still in the process of figuring out how to navigate our partnership and how best to communicate that to the world. It was a matter of us working through that together."
