Courteney Cox recreates the turkey dance
Friends star Courteney Cox sent her fans down the nostalgia lane as she recreated her cult classic Turkey dance from the iconic comedy show. In season 5 of the show, in the episode ‘The One With All The Thanksgivings’, her character Monica Geller tries to cheer up Chandler Bing (the late Matthew Perry) after he becomes upset with her. She puts the turkey on her head and also adds goggles to it and does a funny wiggly dance. It's also the same episode wherein Chandler confesses his love for her. So, it was indeed a special moment as Cox recreated the dance on the occasion of Thanksgiving.
Courteney Cox calls herself the symbol of Thanksgiving
Talking about the same, the Scream 6 actress can be seen wearing a dark green tee. She can be seen saying, “Happy Thanksgiving everyone, I hope you’re having a great day. I’m feeling so thankful and also if I get one more turkey on my head dancing like a F***ing fool… I’m just gonna snap. Since I’m a symbol of Thanksgiving, here you go. Hope it makes you happy.” She then goes on to recreate the dance with a Turkey on her head and googles atop it. Take a look at the same.
Fans had some lovely reactions to the same
Cox captioned the same stating, “Flashback to 3 years ago…Probably won’t do that again. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.” Many overjoyed fans left a gif of her turkey dance in the comments section. One of the fans wrote, “this makes me sad and happy at the same time” referring to the tragic passing of Perry recently. Another netizen said, “once iconic forever iconic! i love you court, so thankful for you.” A user added, “You will always be Monica for me. As a single man who’s lived alone and not even being Thanksgiving part of my culture, watching any Thanksgiving episode of FRIENDS makes me wish I had the chance to sit at a table surrounded by the gang. Thank you so much for being a part of my life. HAPPY THANKSGIVING.”
Courteney paid an emotional tribute to Perry recently. She shared the scene where her character is saved from getting caught sharing a bed with Chandler as Ross exits their room. She also revealed that Chandler and Monica were only supposed to be having a one-night stand but because the audience loved their chemistry, they had a beautiful love story on the show.
