On March 3, 2017, the Los Angeles Police Department launched an investigation into actor Danny Masterson after receiving complaints from three women who alleged assaults in the early 2000s.  Moving to December 4, 2017, one of the victims asserted that a Netflix executive, Andy Yeatman, the then director of global kids content, expressed disbelief in the allegations against Masterson. On June 17, 2020, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office revealed charges against Masterson for allegedly raping three women. Prosecutors assert that the actor assaulted a 23-year-old woman in 2001, a 28-year-old woman in April 2003, and another 23-year-old woman between October and December 2003. On the same day, Masterson was arrested and subsequently released on bond. Throughout this legal ordeal, he consistently maintained his innocence, vehemently denying the charges levied against him.
