Demi Lovato has revealed her engagement to Jordan Lutes, her boyfriend of one year. Despite the singer's history of high-profile relationships, details about Demi and Jordan's relationship remain largely unknown, except for their plan to tie the knot in the upcoming year.
The initial report on Demi's recent engagement came from PEOPLE Magazine, with her representative confirming the delightful news to the publication. Lutes, a singer and songwriter himself, reportedly proposed with a pear-shaped diamond solitaire ring, purchased from the New York jewelry boutique Material Good.
Unraveling Jute$
Jordan Lutes, professionally known as Jute$, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media to commemorate Demi's birthday in the month they made their relationship public. "Happy birthday, baby. You're a 30-year-old minx, and I'm the luckiest schmuck in the world because I get to call you mine," he expressed on Instagram.
Boasting more than 151,000 followers on Instagram, Jute$ has carved out his niche in the music industry, though it falls short when compared to Demi's staggering 158 million followers on her account. Despite Jordan not holding the same level of celebrity status, fans express a keen interest in learning more about him, especially as he and Demi embark on the next phase of their relationship.
Fanning the Flames
In July, Demi opened up about their relationship, which hasn't received as much public attention as their previous romances. Demi highlighted that the foundation of their successful relationship is being "friends first and foremost."
"We started as friends. We spent several months getting to know each other, and then we made the decision to transition into a romantic relationship after expressing our feelings to each other," explained Demi, who uses she/they pronouns.
This marks Demi's second engagement. The singer was previously engaged to actor Max Ehrich in early 2022 following a short-lived romance. Ehrich asserted that he learned about the end of their relationship when Demi publicly announced her single status.
