The purported assailant of Charlie Sheen has purportedly been apprehended. The neighbor of the Two and a Half Men star was taken into custody by the police on Wednesday. In an official statement, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed that deputies responded to a call regarding "a battery/disturbance" in Malibu.
TMZ Reports Disturbing Details
"After engaging with the individuals in question, deputies recognized Charlie Sheen as the victim of an assault," the statement elaborated. It highlighted that the suspect "was apprehended for assault with a deadly weapon, force likely to cause great bodily injury," and "residential burglary."
TMZ, the first to break the news, suggested that the 47-year-old woman reportedly knocked on Sheen’s door and, upon his response, allegedly attempted to strangle him. Following the purported incident, she reportedly withdrew to her own residence.
Prior Tensions Unveiled
According to the source, Sheen informed authorities that he had previous conflicts with the woman. He recently alleged that she had sprayed his vehicle with a "sticky" substance and dumped trash in his house. However, Sheen also verified that they had resolved their issues through conversation—although this reconciliation occurred before the reported incident of strangulation.
Earlier this month, Sheen shared that he has maintained sobriety for nearly six years. "I've adopted a consistently healthy lifestyle," he stated. "It revolves around single parenthood, focusing on raising my 14-year-old twin boys, Max and Bob."
The catalyst for his decision to quit drinking occurred when he failed to fulfill a promise to drive one of his daughters, shared with ex-wife Denise Richards, to an appointment. Reflecting on the incident, he admitted, "One morning, I'd forgotten my daughter had an appointment I'd promised to drive her to, and I'd already had a couple of drinks that day."
