Barbenheimer: Here's all you need to know about the upcoming film based on the epic Barbie and Oppenheimer clash

It is not a hidden fact that the epic clash between Greta Gerwig’s Barbie and the Christopher Nolan directorial Oppenheimer created a rage on social media and became one of the most iconic box office battles in the history of cinematic pop culture. Now, inspired by the same, B-movie icon Charles Band is coming up with the movie Barbenheimer which will be a fun amalgamation of the plotlines of both the movies. The comedy flick is being made with dolls and bombs as the main motif.

Barbenheimer's plot revealed

According to a news report in The Hollywood Reporter, Charles has already finalized the plot of Barbenheimer which revolves around a scientist doll named Dr Bambi Barbenheimer who lives in the doll town Dolltopia and is extremely angry about how humans in the real world treat their dolls. She begins her journey to the real world to explode it using a giant nuclear bomb as revenge. The synopsis of the movie reads, “They got great looks and a super attitude! Oh, and now they’ve got the bomb.”

Charles Band agrees to cash in on the epic clash

The report further added that Band has admitted to cashing in on the enormous hype that Barbie and Oppenheimer’s clash at the box office garnered. Charles was quoted to reveal, “But it’s also an opportunity to have fun with the bizarre coupling of these two movies and the combination of Barbie’s vibe and the darkness of Oppenheimer. You mix that together and you have such an opportunity for dark humour. It seems like every other feature is dark and depressing, and it’s like God, we need a little humour going into 2024.”

Charles is known for directing movies like Parasite, The Alchemist, Ragewar, and others. Talking about Oppenheimer and Barbie locking horns at the box office, the latter emerged victorious by garnering $ 1 billion. However, the Cillian Murphy starrer too became an astounding box office success and received a lot of acclaim.
