On May 20, YG Entertainment released a special announcement video featuring founder Yang Hyun Suk, who personally unveiled the company’s comeback plans, particularly for two groups: BABYMONSTER and TREASURE. This news seemed to not sit well with a big fandom called BLINKs - the fans of BLACKPINK.
Talking about the group consisting of Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa - the group has been active since 2016 and they renewed their contract with YG, but only for group activities in 2023. However, before renewing the contract, the four girls were on the 'Born Pink World Tour' from October 15, 2022, up until September 17, 2023. But amid all this, they hardly released any music.

Since their debut in 2016, BLACKPINK has only released a total of 32 songs. During their 7-year career, the four women only put out two complete albums: "The Album" (2020), which had eight tracks, and "BORN PINK" (2022), which had the same number of tracks. "Kill This Love" (2019) has five tracks, and "Square Up" (2018) has four - their two mini albums. The promotional track "The Girls" was made available in August 2023.
Given the scarcity of new music and the absence of any updates on their comeback from YG, coupled with the members pursuing solo endeavours, many are questioning whether BLACKPINK intends to continue as a group or if they will solely focus on individual activities.
