If you were concerned that Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) might not encounter another murder for Only Murders in the Building to secure a fourth season, worry not. In the closing moments of the Season 3 finale, Charles's stunt double, Sazz Pataki, is shot and killed in his apartment. While the podcasting trio hasn't discovered the body yet, you can bet they'll be on the case as soon as they learn about it.
Although the Season 3 finale recently aired in October, fans are already curious about when the Arconia residents will make their return to the small screen. Read on to discover everything we currently know about Only Murders in the Building Season 4, including potential premiere dates, the cast, and more.

ABC's Midseason Lineup
In November, ABC revealed its midseason lineup, including the debut of Only Murders in the Building's first season. Starting January 2, OMITB will be broadcast on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET. The series is produced by 20th Television, a company also owned by The Walt Disney Company, akin to ABC.
Given the recent WAG and SAG-AFTRA strikes, networks sought new content options, making OMITB an ideal choice for broadcast television, given its success on Hulu. The show initially premiered as Hulu's most-watched comedy debut, and its popularity remains robust. Hulu reported that the Season 3 finale was the platform's most-viewed finale in 2023.
Unraveling the Mystery
While specific details remain undisclosed, it's a safe bet that in Only Murders in the Building Season 4, Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short), and Mabel (Selena Gomez) will be on a mission to unravel the mystery surrounding Sazz Pataki's murder.
Portrayed by Jane Lynch, Sazz served as Charles's double in his previous show, "Brazzos." In the Season 3 finale, she was found in Charles's apartment dressed like him when she was shot, strongly suggesting that someone might have been targeting Charles for real.
Casting details for Only Murders in the Building Season 4 are yet to emerge, making it challenging to pinpoint additional cast members beyond the three main characters. However, it's plausible that Jane Lynch may make appearances in flashbacks, following the pattern set by Season 3 with Paul Rudd's character, Ben Glenroy.
While Season 3 introduced new faces like Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin and Jesse Williams as Tobert, their return remains uncertain. When questioned about the possibility of seeing Loretta and Tobert again, Hoffman expressed his fervent desire, stating to THR, "There is no greater hope for me."
