TWICE, Red Velvet, BLACKPINK
While many groups are making their debut every second day, only a few manage to garner a strong fan base and achieve the longevity that others dream of. Speaking of the third generation itself, numerous groups made their debut. When it comes to girl groups, however, only eight of them are currently active.

Here are the third-generation K-Pop girl groups that are still active. This list will not include the groups that are on hiatus but have not yet disbanded, namely MAMAMOO, LABOUM, WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls), and Weki Meki.
Red Velvet:
Members: Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy and Yeri.
Having debuted in 2014, the group made their most recent comeback in November 2023 with "Chill Kill." The group is scheduled to make another comeback during the summer, along with Irene's mini-album release in the fall.
TWICE:
Members: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.
Having debuted in 2015, their latest Korean comeback was in February 2024 with "One Spark." The group is set to release their fifth Japanese full album, "Dive," on July 17, 2024. Additionally, Nayeon is making her solo comeback with "Im Nayeon" in June.
OH MY GIRL:
Members: Hyojung, Mimi, YooA, Seunghee, Yubin and Arin (JinE and Jiho left the group).
Having debuted in 2015, their latest comeback was in July 2023 with the title track "Summer Comes." Although they haven't made a comeback in nearly a year, they continue to perform together at events, such as the recent university festivals.
BLACKPINK:
Members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
Having debuted in 2016, their latest comeback was in August 2023 with their promotional song "The Girls" for their mobile game. All four members have departed from YG Entertainment for their solo activities but remain signed with the agency for group activities.
Dreamcatcher:
Members: JiU, SuA, Siyeon, Handong, Yoohyeon, Dami, and Gahyeon.
Originally debuting as 'MINX' in 2014, the group underwent a rebranding to 'Dreamcatcher' in 2017 after adding two members - Handong and Gahyeon. Their latest group release was in March 2024 with their single album "Luck Inside 7 Doors".
HI CUTIE:
Members: Yujin and Yunjeong (Eunjeong, Chaerin, Eungi and Hayeong left the group).
Having debuted in 2017, the group is currently promoting as a duo. Despite being lesser known, they continue to release music, with their most recent release being "Fool, it's Love" in March 2024.
ALICE:
Members: EJ and Chaejeong (Do-A, Yukyung, Sohee, Karin, and Yeonje left the group).
Originally debuting as ELRIS in July 2017 with seven members, the group later transferred to IOK Company and rebranded as ALICE in April 2022. Their most recent release is the single "Milky Way," which came out in May 2024.
EXID:
Members: Solji, Elly, Hani, Hyelin and Jeonghwa (Yuji, Dami, and Haeryeong left the group).
Debuting in February 2012, their most recent comeback was in September 2022 with their single album "X". Despite the hiatus in releases, they continue to perform together at various university festivals.
