The Suits franchise is expanding with an all-new spinoff titled Suits L.A. This upcoming series will exist within the same universe as the original legal drama but will feature a fresh cast. The announcement of the upcoming spinoff followed closely on the heels of the original Suits series experiencing a significant resurgence on Netflix.
Upon its debut on the streaming platform in June 2023, the series featuring Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle broke records, becoming the most viewed acquired streaming title nearly four years after concluding its series finale.

Introducing Suits L.A.
Set in Los Angeles, the series will introduce a fresh ensemble of characters. According to the official description, the show will center around Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York who has transformed himself into a representative for the most influential clients in Los Angeles.
Since his casting announcement in February 2024, Stephen Amell has been confirmed to lead the cast as Ted Black. Joining him are several other notable stars, including Josh McDermitt as Stuart Lane, the co-founder of Black Lane Law, and Lex Scott Davis as Erica Rollins, a determined rising star working alongside Ted Black.
Continuity and Cameos
While featuring entirely new characters, the series will share the same universe as the original USA Network show, leaving open the possibility for Suits characters to make appearances. Currently, no actors have been officially confirmed, although several cast members, including Adams, have expressed their desire to return.
Scheduled to commence production in late March, the show, which received a pilot order in February 2024, will be led by the original Suits creator, Aaron Korsh. Korsh will not only write the pilot but also serve as an executive producer alongside former Suits EPs David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene Klein. Additionally, Victoria Mahoney has been selected to direct the pilot.
While the show's official release date is yet to be announced, if the pilot receives a series order, Suits L.A. could potentially debut during the 2024-2025 season.
