When and where to watch Oscars in India
The most-anticipated awards night is finally just a few days away. We are talking about the 96th Academy Awards which will be taking place on March 10, 2024 (EST). The event will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel and it will be his fourth time hosting the prestigious ceremony. While the red carpet and the main award show will be held on Sunday night in the US, owing to the time difference, the same will be telecasted in India on Monday (March 11) early morning.
Talking about the same, the Oscars will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California. The Indian audience can enjoy the award ceremony live on Disney+ Hotstar starting at 4 am. The official social media page of the OTT streaming platform announced the same stating, “Grab your snacks and settle in for a star-studded day! Oscars 2024, streaming live on #DisneyPlusHotstar, March 11. Let the show begin.” Take a look at the same.

The presenters for this year include Al Pacino, Bad Bunny, Brendan Fraser, Chris Hemsworth, Dwayne Johnson, Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Michelle Yeoh, Regina King, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jennifer Lawrence, Kate McKinnon, Rita Moreno, John Mulaney, Catherine O’Hara, Octavia Spencer, Ramy Youssef, Ke Huy Quan, Mahershala Ali, Nicolas Cage, Jessica Lange, Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o, Sam Rockwell, and Zendaya. The social media handles of the Academy Awards will be giving live updates in real time regarding the red carpet and the winners.

Cillian Murphy’s Oppenheimer is ruling the nomination list with 13 nominations. Other movies that have been nominated include Barbie, Poor Things, Killers Of The Flower Moon, and others. While Murphy remains one of the most likely candidates to win in the Best Actor category, it will be interesting to see who wins in the Best Actress category. Some of the top choices are Emma Stone, Lilly Gladstone, and Margot Robbie.
