ME:I is an 11-member Japanese girl group formed through the reality competition show 'Produce 101 Japan The Girls' from auditions involving 14,000 participants aged 15 to 25, who were not linked with any talent agency. Viewers decided the final lineup from among the original 101 trainees by online voting, announced during a live broadcast on TBS.
