Before its Season 4 comeback later this year, Apple TV+ has confirmed the renewal of the spy thriller comedy Slow Horses for a fifth season, as reported by Variety. The announcement follows closely on the heels of the conclusion of the six-episode third season led by Gary Oldman. Season 5 of Slow Horses will draw inspiration from the fifth installment of Mick Herron's spy series, titled London Rules.

Slow Horses unfolds as a darkly comedic espionage drama, tracing the misadventures of a dysfunctional group of British intelligence agents stationed in the less-than-prestigious "Slough House" department of MI5. The series stars Gary Oldman, alongside a stellar cast including Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Dustin Demri-Burns, Christopher Chung, Freddie Fox, Chris Reilly, Samuel West, Sophie Okonedo, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Jonathan Pryce.
