Over a decade since The Hunger Games graced the big screen, a fresh prequel film is on its way. Drawing inspiration from Suzanne Collins' 2019 novel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, the upcoming movie adaptation will delve into the early life of President Coriolanus Snow, portrayed by Donald Sutherland in the original films, before he rose to power as the leader of Panem.
Unraveling Coriolanus Snow's Origin Story
This prequel to "The Hunger Games" book series explores the backstory of a youthful Coriolanus Snow, tracing his journey before he assumes the role of the formidable president in the original trilogy. Set against the backdrop of the 10th Hunger Games, Snow takes on the role of a mentor to Lucy Gray Baird, a tribute hailing from District 12.

Casting Highlights
In May 2022, it was announced that Tom Blyth, known for his role in Epix's Western adventure series Billy the Kid, would be taking on the role of a young President Coriolanus Snow. Then, on May 31, 2022, Lionsgate unveiled another exciting casting choice, introducing Rachel Zegler, renowned for her performance in West Side Story, as Lucy Gray Baird, the tribute from District 12 in the 10th Hunger Games.
In June 2022, it was revealed that Josh Andrés Rivera, real-life boyfriend of Zegler and her former costar in West Side Story, would join the cast as Sejanus Plinth, a Hunger Games mentor who forges a friendship with the young Coriolanus Snow.
Additionally, on June 22, 2022, Lionsgate made another casting announcement, introducing Hunter Schafer, known for her role in Euphoria, in the role of Tigris, Snow's cousin, who ultimately becomes a stylist in The Hunger Games.

The Familiar Faces Behind the Scenes
