Taylor Swift’s 16-year-old fan named Ally Anderson who was gifted the singer’s black hat from the song ‘22’ during the Eras Tour has tragically lost her life owing to a prolonged battle with cancer. Taylor had herself come up to the die-hard Swiftie and placed the cap on her head. Her mother Patty made some heartwrenching revelations on how Taylor’s songs gave so much of happiness, love, and hope to her late daughter.
Ally Anderson's mother recalls the time when her daughter received Taylor Swift's hat
Ally’s mother spoke to People recalling the joyous moment when the ‘Love Story’ singer gifted her ‘22’ black hat to her daughter. She said, “It changed my daughter's life immensely. I hadn’t seen Ally smile and laugh like that in a very long time." The late Swiftie had shared the video of the surreal moment on her TikTok account. In another video on the same app, she had shared herself placing the hat on her head while standing inside her bathroom captioning it, “What happened. No words to describe what it felt like to be pulled from my seats to the floor. I knew immediately. taylor was my first concert so many years ago. honestly such a full circle moment."

Ally's first concert was Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour in 2015
Patty furthermore told the publication that her daughter’s very first concert was Taylor’s 1989 World Tour in 2015 when she was 8 years old. Both the mother-daughter duo were die-hard Taylor fans. However, Ally was diagnosed with Stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma when she was 11 which is a rare soft tissue cancer. Patty added that it was the ‘You Belong With Me’ singer’s music that gave light to her daughter’s life.\

According to Ally’s mother, “She knew every single word to every single song.” Furthermore describing her late daughter’s love for Taylor’s songs, Patty said, “Ally had her music playing when she was still able to shower, when she was organizing her room, when we drove anywhere. It truly is all she played.” Many fellow Swifties some of whom are also cancer survivors paid their tribute to Ally.
