The Actress shared a story about the realization that her 31-year-old son, Jack Quaid, might pursue a career in the industry, just like his parents. "I'll never forget watching him in a middle school performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. He had the role of Bottom. It was during my fresh divorce from his dad, and he was seated on the opposite side of the gym," she reminisced about her ex, Dennis Quaid.

Ryan expresses her concerns about the challenges of living in the public spotlight while observing Jack navigate his journey. Her worries stem from a combination of her encounters and the unique position he holds as the child of two renowned actors.
"You wouldn't wish it on anyone. It's a tough and bizarre experience," Ryan remarks. "Jack possesses genuine talent—he's a more innate performer than I'll ever be. Dismissing his achievements as mere nepotism overlooks his strong work ethic, natural gifts, and his awareness of the implications of his privilege."
