The world is still reeling from Friend star Matthew Perry’s tragic demise on October 28, 2023. He was found dead inside a hot tub in his Los Angeles residence. Now, the latest report according to TMZ suggests that the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery Homicide Division is investigating Perry’s death.

This development might come as a surprise since it was earlier reported that any foul play had been ruled out in the late actor’s demise. However, this seems to be the standard procedure when it comes to high-profile death cases. According to the Daily Mail, Matthew’s assistant found him underwater in his hot tub. However, as fate would have it, by the time the Los Angeles Fire Department arrived and put him out of the jacuzzi, Perry had sadly passed away.

Matthew’s death has been said to have been through drowning in his hot tub. He was found unresponsive in the tub of his residence in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood after 4 p.m. According to People, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed to them that an autopsy has been done but the toxicology reports of Perry are yet to come.
