Matthew Perry dies
Friends actor Matthew Perry was found dead at his Los Angeles residence on Saturday (October 28). According to a news report in the Los Angeles Times, law enforcement officials said that his body was found in a hot tub. The authorities arrived at around 4 pm at his home when he was not found to be responding.
No cause of death revealed till now
The reports further say that the sources who spoke under anonymity did not reveal the real reason behind Perry’s death. The sources further said that there was no sign of any foul play. The actor’s representative did not comment immediately on his tragic demise to the publication.

His death is now being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department’s robbery-homicide detectives. The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office will reportedly determine the cause of death at a later date. Matthew was the son of actor John Bennett Perry and former press secretary of Canadian Prime Minister Piere Trudeau, Suzanne Marie Langford. His parents separated when he was just 1 year old after which he grew up between Montreal and Los Angeles.
He started his career in showbiz as a child actor being part of projects like Charles In Charge, Beverly Hills 90210, and A Night In The Life Of Jimmy Reardon. However, he catapulted into a household name after he was cast as Chandler Bing in the cult classic TV show Friends which premiered in 1994. Perry who was 25 years old at the time of his casting became an overnight sensation along with his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt Leblanc, and David Schwimmer.
His character was one of the most adored ones in the show and was known for his sarcasm, dry humor, and an endearing romantic track with Cox’s Monica Geller. He opened up about a tumultuous phase in his life in his 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. The late actor has had a lifelong battle with alcoholism which led to multiple visits to the rehab and some serious health issues.
