After a considerable hiatus that left viewers eagerly awaiting its return, the new season of the series thrusts Loki back into the Time Variance Authority, where he must grapple with an even more daunting multiversal menace, all while navigating a labyrinth of trust issues.
Much like the electrifying first season, this second installment, a groundbreaking achievement for the live-action MCU series, will consist of six episodes.
A Mischievous Return to the TVA
In the initial six episodes of "Loki," the God of Mischief embarked on time-travel adventures, journeying as far back as the destruction of Pompeii and as far ahead as the enigmatic Citadel at the End of Time.

In Season 2, Loki's temporal escapades promise to transport him to fresh eras and locations, such as the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, and surprisingly, even a 1980s McDonald's.
However, it seems that time itself will present a unique challenge, as Loki grapples with a phenomenon known within the TVA as "time-slipping," threatening to pull him apart across different moments in history.
Facing a Multiversal Threat
To tackle this weird situation, Loki and Mobius rope in O.B., the TVA's tech whiz played by Ke Huy Quan. As for the next six episodes, we'll find out if Ravonna Renslayer (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) has actually found that "free will" she was chasing after leaving the TVA.
