Kylie Jenner hits back at critics blaming Timothée Chalamet for her new look

Kylie Jenner, in an interview with The New York Times published on Thursday, was asked to respond to critics who say that her latest style is influenced by her current boyfriend, Timothée Chalamet. She's been linked to Timothée Chalamet since 2023.

"I'm not sure how I feel about that," Jenner remarked.“I just don’t want to talk about personal things.” She mentioned being unaware of the theory, as she intentionally concentrates solely on social media feedback about her businesses and products, rather than her appearance or personal life.

Kylie Jenner's Response to Speculation

The Kardashians star instead attributed her new style to the birth of her son, Aire Webster. In her interview with the NYT, Jenner discussed the emotional toll that constant criticism of her physical appearance has had on her. According to the newspaper, even a single photo with harsh lighting can spark stories featuring plastic surgeons speculating about whether she's undergone further cosmetic procedures.

"It’s just years and years of not feeling like my face or looks are accepted,” she expressed. “There’s nothing anyone could ever say now that would hurt me.” In late February, she donned a black tube top with cut-out straps and cut-out foldover pants from the fourth drop of her clothing collection, Khy, at an event celebrating its launch. Once again, the outfit leaned towards the conservative side.

Kylie Jenner's Alleged Split from Timothée Chalamet

Recently, rumors of Jenner's split surfaced due to her social media activity. Following her TikTok post showcasing her morning routine without Chalamet, 28, anywhere in sight, fans speculated on Reddit that the video might be a subtle announcement of her alleged breakup with the actor.

Jenner and Chalamet, whose romance rumors first surfaced last spring, haven't been seen together since the 2024 Golden Globes on Jan. 7. Before Chalamet, Jenner was in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Travis Scott, with whom she shares a six-year-old daughter, Stormi, and a two-year-old son, Aire.
