Kim Kardashian lands lead role in thriller film after American Horror Story

Kim Kardashian continues to showcase her acting skills as she gears up for a role in an upcoming thriller film penned by screenwriter Natalie Krinsky. Known for her work on projects like The Broken Hearts Gallery and Gossip Girl, Krinsky is crafting a script based on an original concept. 

The film, developed with Kardashian specifically in mind, is set to be produced by Amazon MGM Studios. No plot details, title, or additional casting announcements for the upcoming movie have been revealed at this time.

Kim Kardashian's Breakthrough Role

In 2023, Kardashian garnered attention with her recurring role in American Horror Story: Delicate. Portraying Siobhan, an entertainment publicist for actress Anna Victoria Alcott (Emma Roberts), Kardashian contributed to the horror series' 12th season. The storyline revolves around Roberts' character as she grapples with the challenges of starting a family while navigating the demands of promoting a hit movie during awards season.

The reality TV star appeared in all five episodes of the season's first half, with the second half set to premiere on April 3. This series marks Kardashian's return to acting for the screen after more than a decade, aside from occasional cameo roles as herself in films such as Ocean's Eight (2018).

From Cameos to Leading Roles

Kardashian shared that she took acting lessons in preparation for American Horror Story at the 2023 Met Gala back in May. Years prior to Kardashian's recent foray into acting, she took minor roles in 2009's Disaster Movie, Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, CSI: NY, and Drop Dead Diva.

Additionally, she made guest appearances as herself on television series like How I Met Your Mother, 30 Rock, and Two Broke Girls. She also hosted Saturday Night Live in October 2021. Kim Kardashian has two upcoming projects, an untitled television series in which she appears to have a starring role and a film that she is anticipated to produce alongside screenwriter Paula Pell.
