Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh came up short at the International Emmys in the Best Actress and Best Actor categories for their compelling performances in Delhi Crime and Rocket Boys, respectively. The Best Actress title was claimed by Mexican actress Karla Souza for her role in Dive.
Additional contenders in the category included Connie Nielsen in the Danish project The Dreamer – Becoming Karen Blixen" and the UK's Billie Piper in I Hate Suzie Too. Meanwhile, the Best Actor accolade went to the UK's Martin Freeman for his outstanding performance in The Responder.

International Acclaim
Entering its second season, Delhi Crime follows police officer Vartika Chaturvedi, portrayed by Shefali Shah, in a gripping police procedural. The show's inaugural season, inspired by the 2012 Delhi gang rape, earned the prestigious title of Best Drama Series at the International Emmy Awards in 2020. The current season delves into the narrative of the notorious Chaddi Baniyan Gang.
Similarly, Rocket Boys, now in its second season, unfolds the lives of physicists Homi J. Bhabha, embodied by Jim Sarbh, and Vikram Sarabhai, portrayed by Ishwak Singh.

Shefali Shah and Jim Sarbh's Cinematic Evolution
Shefali Shah rose to prominence with her breakthrough role opposite Manoj Bajpayee in the 1998 film Satya, where she portrayed Pyaari, the wife of his character Bhiku Mhatre. Her notable contributions extend to acclaimed films such as Monsoon Wedding, Dil Dhadakne Do, Darlings, and various others.
Jim Sarbh, renowned for his stage performances, marked his cinematic debut in the 2016 biopic Neerja. Since then, he has left an indelible mark with roles in films like Padmaavat, Sanju, A Death In The Gunj, and the recent Gangubai Kathiawadi.
