Britney Spears opens up about her abortion during her relationship with Justin Timberlake

The 41-year-old singer unveiled this revelation in her upcoming memoir titled "The Woman in Me," scheduled for release on October 24th. An excerpt from the memoir, obtained by People magazine, delves into Spears' candid account of her choice to terminate a pregnancy that occurred while she was dating Timberlake.

"It came as a surprise, but I didn't view it as a tragedy. My love for Justin was immense. I always envisioned us starting a family together someday. This just happened sooner than I had expected," she penned regarding the pregnancy in her memoir.

In her candid discussion about her choice to undergo an abortion, Britney Spears alluded to the fact that it was influenced by the desire of the NSYNC frontman. "I understand that this might not sit well with some, but I agreed to the decision not to proceed with the pregnancy. I'm uncertain if it was the right choice," she revealed in the excerpt. "Had it solely been my decision, I would never have gone through with it. However, Justin was resolute in his reluctance to become a parent."
