In a recent interview on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, Bradley Cooper, known for his role in Maestro as actor-director-producer, confessed, "I’m not sure I’d be alive if I wasn’t a dad." Cooper and Irina Shayk, who were in a relationship from 2015 to 2019, welcomed their daughter, Lea, in 2017.
The actor shared how his daughter became an anchor in his life, providing him with newfound purpose. He discussed the gradual transition into parenthood and expressed his deep love for his daughter.

The actor has been candid about his past battles with addiction and has expressed gratitude for overcoming them, remaining nearly 20 years sober. Additionally, Cooper highlighted on the podcast how fatherhood motivated him to prioritize personal growth, striving to be the best version of himself to minimize any negative impact on his daughter.
Apart from displaying remarkable maturity for her age, it appears that Lea also has an acting credit to her name, courtesy of her father, Cooper. The actor proudly shared his daughter's cameo in Maestro last month, where Lea made her acting debut as the younger version of Maya Hawke's character, Jamie Bernstein. The film, released via Netflix in November 2023, marked Lea's first foray into acting.
Maestro Debut and Accolades
Maestro is a romantic drama film released in 2023, focusing on the romance between American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife, Felicia Montealegre. The film was helmed by Bradley Cooper, who directed it. The movie made its debut at the 80th Venice International Film Festival on September 2, 2023, earning a nomination for the prestigious Golden Lion award.
Carey Mulligan takes on the role of Montealegre, while Cooper portrays Bernstein in the film. Additionally, supporting roles are filled by Matt Bomer, Maya Hawke, and Sarah Silverman. The film garnered seven Academy Award nominations, among them Best Picture, Best Actor for Cooper, and Best Actress for Mulligan.
