Today is the big day! Today, the United Arab Emirates Women and Nepal Women will play the first match of the much-awaited T20 Women's Asia Cup 2024 in Sri Lanka. Both teams have played against each other in past tournaments and are part of Group A.

The two countries have never engaged in a bilateral series with one another and only played in ICC, and ACC tournaments. The competition will see the top two teams from each group make it to the semifinals.

When: 2:00 PM IST on July 19 (Friday)

Venue: Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Sri Lanka

Where to watch on TV: The live telecast will be on the Star Sports Network TV channels in India.

Live Streaming: The live streaming will be on the Disney+ Hotstar app and website in India.

    UAE W vs NEP W:

Nepal, who has not participated in the competition since 2016, is making a return, while UAE is preparing for their second consecutive year in the competition after winning more than half of their games this year.

Nepal's inability to play much—their most recent match was in mid-February, and they lost to Malaysia in the Asian Cricket Council's Women's Premier Cup—presents a problem.

As for the UAE, they last participated in a T20 World Cup qualifier in May, where they advanced to the semifinals but lost to Sri Lanka.

    Head-to-Head Records:

The UAE Women have always dominated Nepal Women in the shortest format and have a 100% victory record against them. The two sides have only played four games against one another.
