Team India's Open Bus Parade in Mumbai : Here are the time, location and all other details

    After winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, Team India is all set to celebrate the historic title win in Mumbai in an open bus parade

    Amongst the many days and dates in the history of India, there is one which has got added just recently. And this day and date will be written in bolden golden letters. This is indeed the date of June 29 when the men in blue aka Team India went onto take the mighty South African team and beat them in the nail-biting finale at Kensington Oval in Barbados to pick up the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024!

    Ever since the time India lifted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, every Indian has been waiting with bated breath to welcome the winning team, led by the captain par excellence Rohit Sharma. The D-day is finally here as the Indian cricket team are now all set to reach Mumbai today (July 4). They will receive a hero’s welcome! As a part of the mega celebrations, an Open Bus Parade has been organised by the BCCI for the players, which will be followed by a get together function at the iconic Wankhede Stadium.     As a part of the schedule of Team India, they will be attending a grand function which is being held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office. After the function, Team India is expected to leave for Mumbai in the afternoon.

    The ETA (Expected Time of Arrival) for Team India in Mumbai is 4pm. After that, the winning Team India has been scheduled to reach the iconic Wankhede Stadium at 5pm. It is here the much-awaited open bus parade will start off and will go on till 7 pm.

    After the parade, all the players will be reportedly attending a grand function at Wankhede Stadium. It is here where the BCCI officials will be handing over the prize money of Rs. 125 crores to Team India!

    On his part, Jay Shah (Honorary Secretary- BCCI, President- Asian Cricket Council), had taken to social media and had tweeted, ‘Join us for the Victory Parade honouring Team India's World Cup win! Head to Marine Drive and Wankhede Stadium on July 4th from 5:00 pm onwards to celebrate with us! Save the date! #TeamIndia #Champions @BCCI @IPL’.

    As a part of the open bus parade, as many as 7 roads have been reported to be closed to traffic in South Mumbai today. These roads include N S Road (North Bound), N S Road (South Bound), Veer Nariman Road (North Bound), Dinshaw Vacha Road, Madam Cama Road, Barrister Rajni Patel Marg, Vinay K Shah Marg.

    The Mumbai Traffic Police have also Traffic the parking of vehicles from morning to night on as many as ten roads around the victory parade route of the Indian Cricket Team. In addition to that, parking has also been banned from morning to night at locations including Barrister Rajni Patel Marg, Ramnath Goenka Marg, Vinay K Shah Road and Jamanalal Bajaj Marg.
