    About SCO vs AUS:

This will be Australia's first event since the T20 World Cup 2024, where they did not advance past the Super 8 stage. Australia and Scotland have faced each other only once in T20 cricket. Their previous encounter was during the T20 World Cup in St Lucia in June, where Australia won by five wickets.

Mitchell Marsh will continue as captain of the Australian team and will be joined by Tim David, Nathan Ellis, Cameron Green, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, and Marcus Stoinis, all of whom were part of the T20 World Cup squad.

Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell, and Mitchell Starc have been rested for this series, and Josh Hazlewood, who suffered a right calf strain during training, has been replaced by fast bowler Riley Meredith.

For the hosts, the 17-member Scotland cricket team includes all 15 players who participated in the T20 World Cup. New additions to the squad are Charlie Cassell and Jasper Davidson, with Richie Berrington leading the team.
