Team India has taken their medals tally to 24 in Paris - the best in a single edition of the Paralympics.

Aiming to secure medals in every event they compete in, the Indian contingent made significant gains on Day 7 of the Paris 2024 Paralympics, adding four medals—including two golds—to the nation's tally, which now stands at 24.
Devendra Jhajharia, the chief of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI) and a celebrated Paralympian himself had stated 25 medals for the nation before the Games. With the 84-strong Indian team now just one medal short of this target, the prospect of achieving it is within reach.
Day 8 of the competition will feature several medal events, offering India a strong chance to surpass the 25-medal mark for the first time. This milestone would come three years after India recorded their first double-digit medal haul at the Paralympics. On the eighth day, Indian athletes will compete in para shooting, para judo, para archery, para-athletics, and para powerlifting.
