Fans are understandably disappointed following a devastating Day 12 in which Vinesh Phogat was disqualified for weighing 100 grams more than the 50 kg restriction. But as they say, the show must go on, and Indian competitors remain unwavering in their resolve to compete for their individual event medals.

Wrestlers Aman Sehrawat (men's freestyle 57kg) and Anshu Malik (women's 57kg) will begin their campaigns. Neeraj Chopra, the reigning Olympic javelin champion, will try to defend his title in the men's final on Thursday at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris while the men's hockey team will look to finish on the podium with a bronze medal.

Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar, the two female golfers, will continue their quest for medals in Round 2. Runner Jyothi Yarraji will have one more chance to get into the women's 100-meter hurdles semifinals in the repechage round.
