Oscars nominations 2024: Oppenheimer leads with 13 nods, Poor Things bags 11 nominations; see the full list here

The 96th Academy Awards, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, is all set to honour the best films of 2023. The award show is expected to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on March 10, 2024 and will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel. The much-anticipated nominations were announced on Tuesday (January 23, 2024) which saw Cillian Murphy starrer Oppenheimer lead with 13 nominations, followed by Emma Stone’s Poor Things and Robert Di Niro’s Killers of the Flower Moon with 11 and 10, nods respectively.

Bradley Cooper’s Maestro, Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, American Fiction, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, Past Lives, Poor Things, Oppenheimer, Killers of the Flower Moon, and The Zone of Interest are in a race to win Best Picture this year. Emma Stone, Carey Mulligan, Sandra Huller, Lily Gladstone and Annette Bening are nominated in the Best Actress category. Much to fans’ disappointment, Barbie’s Margot Robbie is not nominated in the category. Even Barbie’s director Greta Gerwig didn’t receive nominations for Best Director.
