Mohammedan SC is all set to make their Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 season debut with a clash against Durand Cup champions NorthEast United FC in the 5th match on Monday, September 16, at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.

The match between Mohammedan SC and NorthEast United will kick off at 7:30 PM IST and will be played at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata. Fans can watch the match live on the Sports18 Network, and it will also be streamed live on the JioCinema app and website.

Mohammedan SC secured their spot in the ISL 2024-25 by winning the I-League 2023-24 campaign, while the Highlanders finished seventh in the top tier last season. 

The Kolkata-based club, which has a rich history and is one of Indian football's most reputed teams, is set to script another historic moment as it makes its league debut on Monday. Head coach, Andrey Chernyshov, stated that the team's goal is to finish in the top six of the final standings and secure a place in the knockout stage.

NorthEast United narrowly missed out on the playoffs last year, but this season, they aim to improve with a solid balance of defensive resilience and fresh attacking talent. The Highlanders, who have won all six of their matches since starting the season with the Durand Cup campaign, are high on confidence.
