Mohun Bagan Super Giant, the league shield winners, will want to regain winning form when they play city rivals Mohammedan Sporting Club for the first time in an Indian Super League (ISL) encounter on Saturday, September 5, at Salt Lake Stadium. Both sides have four points from their first three matches, and this game will wrap up Matchweek 4 before the international break.

Mohun Bagan SG vs Mohammedan SC:

The two clubs have a deep history being two of the continent's oldest, with 135-year-old Mohun Bagan (formed in 1889) having a two-year lead over Mohammedan SC, founded in 1891.

Mohun Bagan has an advantage in the relatively young landscape of the 11-year-old ISL, having competed in the top tier for four more seasons than Mohammedan Sporting, which is making its debut this year.
