'Justice for Riyan Parag': Indian cricketer trends after Shubman Gill and Ananya Pandey's latest photos stir online buzz

Middle-order batter Riyan Parag some months back had become the center of attention—not for his cricketing skills, but for accidentally revealing his YouTube search history. During a live stream, he exposed his search history to viewers, which included searches for Bollywood actresses Ananya Pandey and Sara Ali Khan in a rather explicit manner, such as "Ananya Panday hot" and "Sara Ali Khan hot."

So why is "Justice for Riyan Parag" trending on X (formerly known as Twitter) on September 4, 2024? The trend started after the headphones and earphones brand Beats announced its new products—the Beats Solo Buds, Beats Solo 4, and Beats Pill—in India, featuring Ananya Pandey and Shubman Gill in their first campaign. 

Following the release of Ananya Pandey and Shubman Gill's photos online, Riyan Parag’s name began trending as fans jokingly demanded justice for him.

Riyan Parag's YouTube Search History:

Soon after the incident, it generated significant public outrage, with many condemning the cricketer for his inappropriate search history. Nonetheless, Parag kept on with his gaming live streams on YouTube, the platform where the controversy first erupted.

This incident went on to take the attention away from his impressive performance in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season, where he scored 573 runs.
