Many also pointed out how Ruturaj Gaikwad, despite performing well, was dropped for the last game.

Regarding the 5th match, Team India saw Sanju Samson (58 off 45) form a partnership with Riyan Parag after Yashasvi Jaiswal was bowled for 12 off 5, Shubman Gill departed for 13 off 14, and Abhishek Sharma went for 14 off 11. Shivam Dube (26 off 12), who was dropped by Sikandar Raza, was run out on the same delivery due to a miscommunication with Rinku Singh (11 off 9). Washington Sundar faced just one ball and scored a single.

For Zimbabwe, Blessing Muzarabani picked up two wickets, while skipper Sikandar Raza started the day by drawing the first blood. Richard Ngarava and Brandon Mavuta also picked up one each.
