After restricting the USA to 110 runs, India's campaign with the bat did not go as planned, as both openers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma departed early, courtesy of Saurabh Netravalkar, at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. While Kohli was dismissed for a duck, Rohit scored 3 off 6.

Saurabh Netravalkar, the software engineer at Oracle, sent back both of India's top batters within three overs, prompting fans to express their dissatisfaction on X (formerly known as Twitter). Many are calling for Kohli to return to batting at the No. 3 spot, and they also want Yashasvi Jaiswal or Sanju Samson to open with Rohit Sharma to help stabilize the innings.

Among his colleagues in the 2010 U19 World Cup were Test cricketers KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, and Jaydev Unadkat, as well as Netravalkar, one of India's top seamers.

On his World Cup debut, he bowled two overs for 16 runs against Canada and came back with figures of 2/18 in his four overs against Pakistan and also helped his team make history by successfully defending 18 runs in the Super Over.

As for the match, India won the toss and opted to field. Arshdeep Singh claimed four wickets, Hardik Pandya picked up two, and Axar Patel took one, restricting the USA to 110 for 8.

Shayan Jahangir, who replaced the injured captain Monank Patel, departed for a duck, while Andries Gous managed only 2 off 5 balls. Standing skipper Aaron Jones scored 11 off 22, and Steven Taylor made 24 off 30 before departing. Nitish Kumar was dismissed after scoring 27 off 23, while Corey Anderson got 15 off 12. Harmeet Singh (10 off 10), Jasdeep Singh (2 off 7), and Shadley van Schalkwyk (11* off 10) added some runs to the board.
