However, Dilshan Madushanka was brought in and dismissed the Indian vice-captain, and later, Wanindu Hasaranga got the better of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Both batters fell one after the other in two different overs.
Shubman Gill looked like he had found his form, scoring 34 off 16 balls, including 6 fours and 1 six, while Jaiswal added 40 runs in 21 balls with 5 fours and 2 sixes. Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to praise the two youngsters for their explosive start to the game.
