IND vs SA, 2nd T20I
Team India lost the toss against South Africa and was asked to bat first. Unfortunately, things did not go in their favour as the Men in Blue lost their top order within the first 4 overs. Centurion Sanju Samson was dismissed for a 3-ball duck, while Abhishek Sharma's poor form continued as he was sent back for just 4 off 5 balls. Captain Suryakumar Yadav also didn't last long, departing for 4 off 9 at St George's Park in Gqeberha.
Marco Jansen, Gerald Coetzee, and Andile Phehlukwayo each took a wicket, leaving India stranded on just 15 runs. The early collapse left Indian cricket fans frustrated, with many taking to X (formerly known as Twitter) to express their disappointment.
Currently, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya are at the crease. At the end of 8 overs, India scored 45 runs after losing 4 wickets. David Miller took an excellent one-handed catch at covers to send back Tilak Varma for 20 off 20.
As for the squads, India made no changes to their playing XI, while the Proteas made one change, bringing in Reeza Hendricks for Patrick Kruger.
