Another ICC tournament, another loss? This is what Indian fans think as the game seems to slip away for the hands of Rohit Sharma and Co against South Africa at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. While the Indian spinners have not managed to do much, with Axar Patel being hit for 49 runs - the most an Indian bowler in a T20 World Cup final - the blame has seemed to have shifted on Virat Kohli.

After opting to bat first, fans were in disbelief when Keshav Maharaj dismissed skipper Rohit Sharma (9 off 5) and Rishabh Pant (0 off 2) in the same over. Later, Kagiso Rabada removed Suryakumar Yadav (3 off 4), placing the burden on Virat Kohli, who scored 76 off 59, supported by Axar Patel (47 off 31) and Shivam Dube (27 off 16). Now, amidst the blame game, Kohli is facing the brunt as fans have lost hope in a victory.

As of now, after 17 overs, the Proteas have scored 155 runs and lost 5 wickets. South Africa needs 22 runs in 18 balls to win the Final.

Leaving Reeza Hendricks (4 off 5) and skipper Aiden Markram (4 off 5), the other batters Quinton de Kock (39 off 31), Tristan Stubbs (31 off 21) and Heinrich Klaasen (52 off 27) were in attacking mode.

Regarding India, the Men in Blue were held to 176 for 7 after 20 overs. Towards the end, Hardik Pandya (5* off 2) and Ravindra Jadeja (2 off 2) were at the crease. Keshav Maharaj and Anrich Nortje each took two wickets for the Proteas, while Marco Jansen and Kagiso Rabada both claimed one wicket.
