After Day 1 concluded with Bangladesh scoring 107 runs in 35 overs and losing 3 wickets, Indian fans eagerly anticipated the resumption of the 2nd Test at Green Park, Kanpur. Unfortunately, persistent rain on Day 2 led to the entire day being abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Mushfiqur Rahim (6*) and Mominul Haque (40*) were ready to resume their innings, but persistent rain disrupted the morning session, keeping the ground under covers throughout the day. Although the rain eased for a couple of hours, water remained on the covers, preventing any play. Despite the efforts of three super soppers working to dry the field, conditions did not improve enough for the game to continue.

With one and a half days already lost, a draw seems likely, but the weather for Day 3 (Sunday) could be a key factor.

Kanpur weather forecast for Day 3 (Sunday):

Cloudy conditions are expected to continue on Sunday, with significant rainfall predicted. According to Weather.com, there's a 61% chance of rain on Sunday, with "scattered thunderstorms" forecasted. Thunderstorms are expected to start Saturday evening and continue into Sunday morning.

Rain showers are likely between 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM, after which the skies will remain overcast. Unfortunately, thunderstorms are also predicted for Sunday afternoon, with a 60% chance of rain around 3:30 PM.

With this forecast, another frustrating day could be in store for both teams, and fans will have to hope for a break in the weather for any play to take place.
