Day 3 started well for India as the 'Prince,' Shubman Gill, made a comeback after being dismissed for a duck in the first innings of the 1st Test between India and Bangladesh. At the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, Gill was on 39 when he smashed two sixes in an over to reach his half-century. His innings included 4 fours and 2 sixes.

This innings is crucial, especially after Virat Kohli was dismissed towards the end of Day 2. Replays showed it was a wrong decision, and he did not take a review. Fans took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to praise the young batter and hope he continues his form and scores a century as well.

As for the match, India has posted 119 runs in 33 overs, establishing a lead of 346 runs. Gill and Rishabh Pant (28 off 49) are at the crease and will look to give the Men in Blue at least a 400+ run lead.

India finished Day 2 having lost 3 wickets and scored 81 runs in 23 overs. After bowling India out for 376 runs, the Bangladesh batters struggled. Exceptional bowling from India saw the visitors dismissed for just 149 runs. Aside from the stand between Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das, nothing went right for Bangladesh.
