Happy Mother's Day! Sachin Tendulkar, Shubman Gill to HS Prannoy, Manika Batra - Indian athletes share love for their moms

Mother's Day is celebrated across the world as a way to recognize moms and their amazing influence and love in people's daily lives. People worldwide use this occasion to express gratitude to their mothers for their unwavering love, support, and sacrifices, through little acts of kindness or large-scale festivities.

These sportsmen, ranging from table tennis wonder Manika Batra to cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar, and from badminton ace HS Prannoy to emerging talent Shubman Gill, use social media to share meaningful messages and memories with their mothers.

Indian cricket legend - the Master Blaster - took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and shared a picture with his mother, writing, "Mothers turn houses into homes and hard times into comforting hugs. My Aai has done that and so much more. Thank you, Aai, for being my rock. Happy Mother's Day!"

Indian badminton star HS Prannoy, who is all set to represent India at the upcoming Paris Olympics, wrote, "Happy Mother's Day to the one who always cheers me on! My biggest fan and best teammate!"

On Instagram, ace badminton player Saina Nehwal on Instagram shared a video and wrote, "Today and every day, we celebrate the superheroes without capes. Thank you for your endless love and sacrifices. Happy Mother’s Day!"

Table Tennis wonder Manika Batra on Insta posted, "दवा असर ना करे तो नज़र उतारती हैं, माँ है जनाब, वो कहाँ हार मानती हैं ॥ Cherishing every moment with the woman who made me who I am. Thank you for being my rock, my confidante, and my guiding light. I am forever grateful for you, I love you".

Tokyo silver medalist in weightlifting - Chanu Saikhom Mirabai - posted a picture of feeding her mom a cake and wrote: "Happy Mother's Day to all maa".

Legend of the Indian table tennis fraternity Sharath Kamal on X said, "Forever grateful for everything you do for me!"

Women's doubles badminton star Ashwini Ponnappa on Insta posted a pic with her mom with a heart and a 'reaching out for a hug' emoji.

As for Gujarat Titans (GT) captain and Indian cricket team talent Shubman Gill, he posted a picture from his childhood and wrote "Mummyyy" with a heart emoji.
