Carlos Alcaraz defeat Novak Djokovic
Spain's Carlos Alcaraz defended his Wimbledon title by defeating Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 in the 2024 final on Sunday. The 21-year-old Spaniard delivered a dominating performance, allowing only brief moments where fans saw Djokovic play his trademark shots. Alcaraz kept Djokovic on the back foot and entertained the crowd with brilliant returns.
Catherine, the Princess of Wales, made a rare public appearance at the iconic Centre Court of the All England Club. This was her second public appearance following her cancer diagnosis and abdominal surgery earlier this year, and she received a standing ovation from spectators.
Many Hollywood couples were also present at the stadium, including Jamie Dornan and Amelia Warner, Courteney Cox and Johnny McDaid, Tom Hiddleston and Zawe Ashton, and Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter.

Carlos Alcaraz overpowers Novak Djokovic:
A 14-minute opening game with seven deuces and five break points set up an exciting Wimbledon final. Alcaraz began an all-out attack and won the first set 6-2. He forced Djokovic to come to the net eight times, securing a double break and retaining his serve to close out the set in 41 minutes.
In the second set, Alcaraz maintained his outstanding form, defeating Djokovic 6-2. Though Djokovic rallied in the third set, Alcaraz remained unwavering, winning the tie-break to claim his fourth Grand Slam title. Alcaraz won 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (4) to extend his unbeaten streak in major finals to 4-0.
