ENG vs SL, 1st Test: Where can Indian fans watch England vs Sri Lanka on TV, OTT and more

England will be taking on Sri Lanka in a three-match Test series, starting with the first Test at Old Trafford Cricket Ground on August 21. Ollie Pope will captain England in place of the injured Ben Stokes, leading the team against Dhananjaya de Silva's Sri Lanka.

The match, which will be part of the World Test Championship (WTC) will begin at 3:30 PM IST and can be streamed live on the Sony Liv app. Additionally, fans in India can watch the live telecast on the Sony Sports Network.

While Ben Stokes will be out for the full three-game series, vice-captain Ollie Pope, who has minimal first-class captaincy experience, will take on the role. Due to injuries and tactical decisions, England's starting lineup has undergone multiple changes. To bolster the five-bowler bowling attack, Matthew Potts has been called back.

As for the Lankan Lions, after a poor 2024 T20 World Cup campaign, they recently defeated India in an ODI series. Players with experience like Dimuth Karunaratne and Angelo Mathews are on the team. The team, captained by Dhananjaya de Silva, would rely on these seasoned players in addition to legendary cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya, who filled in for Chris Silverwood upon his departure as the coach.
