Duleep Trophy 2024: Shreyas Iyer in sunglasses gets out for a 7-ball DUCK, cricket fans react

Khaleel Ahmed was on a roll as he took two wickets in two overs for India A, dismissing two batters early in the game as India D managed only 28 runs in 7 overs. He first removed Atharva Taide and later dismissed skipper Shreyas Iyer at the Rural Development Trust Stadium in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.

Interestingly, Iyer, who came to the crease after Atharva Taide was out for 4 off 3 balls, was seen wearing sunglasses. His pictures quickly went up on the internet, with fans calling him "cool", knowing it was too bright to see the ball. However, his coolness was short-lived as he was out for a 7-ball duck, and cricket fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) couldn't help but react.

Currently at the crease are Yash Dubey and Devdutt Padikkal, who will look to steady the innings after the early fall of wickets. After 10 overs, India D has scored 35 runs and trails by 255 runs.

Earlier, India A managed to score 290 runs before Harshit Rana picked up two wickets in two balls to end their innings. He denied Shams Mulani a century, as the batter had to depart for 89, and he also ensured India A did not breach the 300-run mark.

In the other game between India B and India C, Ruturaj Gaikwad's C side is still batting at 372 for the loss of 5 wickets after 82 overs. Most of the batters have contributed with good scores, with Ishan Kishan leading the charge, scoring 111 off 126 balls at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B, Anantapur.
