    The 17th season of the renowned Duleep Trophy, a cornerstone of Indian domestic cricket, will take place from September 5 and will mark the beginning of the 2024-25 cricket season. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the season's fixtures, which will witness a return to a team-based structure from the previous zonal model.

    This year's competition will include four teams: India A, India B, India C, and India D. The squads will be chosen by a selection panel directed by Ajit Agarkar, Chief Selector of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). -

    Where will the 2024 Duleep Trophy be held?

    Two venues will host three matches each: Six four-day matches will be played between September 5 and 22.

    However, according to ESPNcricinfo, one of the doubleheaders scheduled for September 5 may be shifted to Bengaluru due to logistical concerns. An official confirmation is still to arrive.

    Following the Duleep Trophy, the domestic season will resume with the Irani Cup and Ranji Trophy. The season will also feature white-ball competitions such as the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
