Duleep Trophy 2024-25: Full schedule, fixtures, venues, format and all Indian fans need to know

The 17th season of the renowned Duleep Trophy, a cornerstone of Indian domestic cricket, will take place from September 5 and will mark the beginning of the 2024-25 cricket season. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the season's fixtures, which will witness a return to a team-based structure from the previous zonal model.

What is the format of the Duleep Trophy?

This year's competition will include four teams: India A, India B, India C, and India D. The squads will be chosen by a selection panel directed by Ajit Agarkar, Chief Selector of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). -

Where will the 2024 Duleep Trophy be held?

Two venues will host three matches each: Six four-day matches will be played between September 5 and 22.

• Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur

However, according to ESPNcricinfo, one of the doubleheaders scheduled for September 5 may be shifted to Bengaluru due to logistical concerns. An official confirmation is still to arrive.

Match 1: September 5–September 8 – Team A vs Team B, Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur, 9:00 AM IST

Match 2: September 5-September 8 – Team C vs Team D, ACA ADCA Ground, Anantapur, 9:00 AM IST

Match 3: September 12–September 15 – Team A vs Team D, Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur, 9:00 AM IST

Match 4: September 12–September 15 – Team B vs Team C, ACA ADCA Ground, Anantapur, 9:00 AM IST

Match 5: September 19–September 22 – Team B vs Team D, ACA ADCA Ground, Anantapur, 9:00 AM IST

Match 6: September 19–September 22 – Team A vs Team C, Rural Development Trust Stadium, Anantapur, 9:00 AM IST

Following the Duleep Trophy, the domestic season will resume with the Irani Cup and Ranji Trophy. The season will also feature white-ball competitions such as the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
