    India's rising shuttler Priyanshu Rajawat will take on France's Alex Lanier in the Canada Open 2024 semi-final at the Markin-MacPhail Centre in Calgary, Canada. The men's singles semi-final match is the third in the order of play on Court 1.

    The young Indian player held off the in-form top seed Anders Antonsen of Denmark with a scoreline of 21-11, 17-21, 21-19 to stay alive in his quest for his first HSBC BWF World Tour Super 500 title.

    The 22-year-old advanced to the semi-finals by defeating World No. 33 Takuma Obayashi in the Round of 16 and World No. 24 Rasmus Gemke of Denmark in the Round of 32.

    As for Alex Lanier, in the first and second rounds, respectively, he won both of his games with ease. He defeated Sankar Subramanian of India in the first round and Su Li Yang of Chinese Taipei in the second to advance to the round of eight.
