SL W vs MAL W:
The host led by Chamari Athapaththu, lost just three wickets and successfully chased a modest target of 112 runs in 17.1 overs. On the other hand, the Winifred Duraisingam-led squad, needing to score 134 runs, could only muster 111 runs in 20 overs with eight wickets lost.
Currently placed second in Group B, Sri Lanka can secure the top spot with a victory in this match. However, Malaysia who are sitting at the bottom of the group, must win to remain in contention in the competition.
