Sri Lanka vs New Zealand:
Both Sri Lanka and New Zealand endured disappointing campaigns in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, with both teams failing to advance past the group stage.
Since the World Cup, Sri Lanka has played six T20Is. They suffered a whitewash at the hands of a relatively young India side at home in July but showed resilience by defeating the West Indies 2-1 in Dambulla last month.
This will be New Zealand's first T20I series since the World Cup. The series promises to feature several new faces, with players eager to showcase their talent before the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, adding extra motivation to perform at their best.
