Team India
Not the start fans of the Indian cricket team expected in the final of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Winning the toss and opting to bat first, fans were confident the Men in Blue would post a good total on the board, especially given their strong batting lineup and consistent performance throughout the tournament.

However, things did not go their way. In the 2nd over, Keshav Maharaj was brought in after the 1st over went for 15 runs. The Proteas spinner dismissed skipper Rohit Sharma (9 off 5) and Rishabh Pant (0 off 2) in the same over, and later Kagiso Rabada removed Suryakumar Yadav (3 off 4).
All of this happened within 5 overs, prompting fans to express on X (formerly known as Twitter) how it resembled last year's ODI World Cup Final, where India lost quick wickets against Australia.
As soon as Rohit Sharma gets out on the big stage, the game changes completely. 💔

Can't blame Rohit either, he has been playing like this for years, there is a reward but risk too, destiny has hurt us.
But really disappointed with Pant & Surya, something has to step up today. pic.twitter.com/AjgPj2eEYa
There's a thin line between being aggressive and being reckless.. Rishab Pant and SKY being reckless here.. Nov 19 vibes already.. #T20WorldCup

Interestingly, teams winning the toss have won the match in 7 out of the previous 8 (and all of the last 6) T20 World Cup finals. The chasing team has won 6 out of the 8 T20 WC finals. This is the first T20 World Cup final played in daylight since 2010.
