According to fans, he played a selfish innings in the 4th T20I, preventing Yashasvi Jaiswal from reaching his century by prioritizing his half-century. Some also say he forced Abhishek Sharma to bat at one down despite Sharma scoring a century previously, instead of shifting himself down the order. Many also pointed out how Ruturaj Gaikwad, despite performing well, was dropped for the last game.
